Not sure what to say?

I'm sorry i found out too late to have been able to visit with my friend Joe or to be there for his family, it's been many years since we last saw each other, many of my fondest memories were the good times i had with Joe and Lou(Boss)like sitting in the "Beer Garden" a nice little shady place in Joes yard, and listning to him play his guitar and try to teach Boss at the same time. Joe was always a good friend and always had a smile and a laugh for you, his love of words became a game when...

hope you could recall peace and happiness

my sorrow that Joe suffered and my sympathy to you

To My Nephew "Joey" from Aunt Frankie.
It is with heavy heart that I write this. Joey was very special to our family, because he spent more time with us and we got to know him more intimately than either his sister, Carolyn or brother, Bob.
Outside of his devilishness in his youth Joe was a very kind, thoughtful man and a joy to be with. Always ready to pitch in when Uncle Bob was building stone walls in front of our home in Erieville, N.Y. We lived on a lake and he loved the fishing...

Even though Joe was my brother, I never really knew him. We were separated by 7 years of age and usually by some distance in miles. We could never seem to get together. Nevertheless, I will miss him and his quirky sense of humor. I know at the end he was hurting and his quality of life was deteriorating badly. I'm sure he is in a better place.

I'm Barb Bangert White, Joey's cousin. As my sister Julie mentioned, we had many good times with "crazy cousin Joey" in Erieville when we were growing up.
Those days were a riot with Joey and his buddy sneaking out at night to get onion rings and beer and putting guitars in their bed to fake out my parents (to no avail)... and naturally he was busted.

I had the added pleasure of spending quality time with Joey, with my husband Kevin when we resided in Florida for two years in...

Joe was a great friend and like a brother to me. He will be truly missed by anyone who knew him. May God bless you and your family.

I can only imagine the greeting Joe got at Heaven's gate. Lou, Ben, B.J. and Sally standing there giving him big hugs and laughing like crazy. Joe made my world a better place. He loved without hesitation. He always made me feel special. I hadn't seen Joe in quite a while, but the last time I talked to him he told me that the two of us were special to one another and that we would always carry each other in our hearts. I will miss him.

Dad-
Thank you for showing me how important it is to work and how rewarding good work can be. Thank you for helping me when life threw me ugly curve balls. Thank you for teaching me how to spell correctly and the importance of a good vocabulary. Thank you for always believing in me and supporting me. Thank you for always being there, even when it was tough, even when it was an anathema to your very being. Thank you, Daddy, for everything you were and everything you gave to me. I will miss...

My heartfelt sympathy to Joe's family. I had the wonderful pleasure of working with Joe at the Times for many years. I am proud to have known his smiling personality. He will be truly missed and I will remember him fondly.
