though mr. schmidt lived a long life, it's such a loss to lose a parent...i am a friend of pat schmidt's...had i known your father in law was stationed at lackland and burtonwood, i would have stopped by for a visit with him...my father was stationed in lackland in 1950 and in burtonwood warrington (my mother's birthplace) til 1953 where he was an aircraft mechanic....there were a lot of guys stationed there but maybe the two knew each other... please accept my condolences....
