I got choked up opening email today and your picture was here . Joey this year has been a blur . The world lost its color almost a year ago . everyone misses you terribly , your smile , your laughter , your jokes and YOU. Love you so much slways .

Honor Joseph by sharing all of your wonderful memories openly. Don't hide them. Laugh at the funny things he said, the thoughtful things he did. Keeping his memory alive will comfort you forever. Cousin Lorraine

I offer my deepest condolences to Joseph's family and especially to his mom, Frances. His dad was my dearest cousin and a mentor to me while growing up in Brooklyn. It sounds like Joseph was like his dad with the sweetest and kindest personality.

To the Sefershayan family, my truly heartfelt sympathy. May your wonderful memories of a great man give you some comfort. Love, cousin Lorraine DiPaolo

I can not offer any adequate words on this shocking tremendous loss. I love Joey with all my heart and pray that somehow you can endure this pain and let each one of those pictures resonate in your heart and head always. He loved you guys like no other and he will be missed EVERY day for the rest of my life . I love you guys and I am here . His smile is amazing and his love is eternal.

I met joe in high school and have seen him since either when he was at work or somewhere here on the island. A true, genuinely nice person. No matter when i saw him, he had a smile on his face, and i am sure that he is smiling down on the loved ones that he left behind....
