Not sure what to say?

Joseph was a delight and reminder of all that was good and honorable. Joe’s hospitality was unavoidable, he never failed to invite or serve his guest at his table. We should all hope to have such a legacy as a father and grandfather.

....so sorry to have missed your Joe's memorial and the opportunity to tell you personally how much I enjoyed your father. Joe was so proud of each of you....his countenance would light up whenever he had something new to tell about you all and your accomplishments. I'll miss sitting with him at his kitchen table, drinking his horribly strong coffee, reviewing recent and old pictures, hearing about his life expiriences in Lebanon and America. Heaven will be sweeter for your presence...

Dear cousin John,
With deep sadness, I have received the death announcement of Uncle Joe, from my nephew Jihad Hajal, brother of Rizan living in Dakota, USA. Uncle Joseph was for me, in my very early youth, the mature devoted friend and a sincere confidant. I never forgot the day, in the late fifties, our whole family escorted him from our home in Jal El Dib where he slept his last night in Lebanon, before getting on board of the huge Italian ship at the Port of Beirut, travelling to...

When in 1994, the US white pages became accessible through the internet from Paris, where I was living; I tried to find the phone number of my mother's uncle. He had left Lebanon before I was born and having seen pictures of him in my parents' wedding album; I wanted to get to know him better. I did not imagine at that time that this phone call would be the start of a long and pleasant friendship with a charming and attaching person.
We then met 'Uncle Joe': a nice guy, full of joy, but...

To a great man that will never be forgotten by his family and friends. Thanks for being my best friend.

Joseph Seif had been missed for years in his native Lebanon. I grew up hearing his stories from his nieces and nephews. When I came to meet him years later in Toledo, I found him to be every bit welcoming and loving as they remembered him. His journey back to Lebanon more than 30 years later was defining life moment for many in the Seif family (in Kesrouan and Metn, Lebanon). Waves of sympathy and respect from his family ‘back home', he will be dearly missed. My deepest sympathies to his...

Dear Cathy and Family,

Uncle Joe was truly an inspiration of a great dad and family man. May your memories bring you joy and God bring you peace. His legacy lives on through all of you, who are good Christian-believing people. I have enjoyed immensely the time I was able to share and get to know Uncle Joe over the years growing up, especially my recent, long visit with him last year.

My Prayers and Condolescences are with you all,

Dear Cathy and Family,

My sincere condolences. I'm so sorry. May God's comfort and you Dad's rest in Him, bring you peace.
