Not sure what to say?

Awww. I have a sweet and caring memory of my first meeting Joseph a bright sunny morning in Santa Fe and we met at Downtown Subscription Cafe here in Santa Fe!

My dear friend, Joseph, was a bright and active light in the world. Despite his challenges, he met them, one after another, and our friendship grew in depth and authenticity. I'm missing Joseph today. Grateful to find this obit. Love you, Joseph! If his parents or sister read this, please be in touch. [email protected]

I did not know Joseph personally but corresponded with him via email on many occasions. He helped me quit meth and stay on track. I cried upon knowing of his death, and wonder what happened. He was a sweet, kind man who helped many souls from the crushing weight of crystal meth addiction. I miss him, and I love him.

My happiest memories of high school are the hours spent working on The Drumbeat. Joe, Karsten and Beverly. That final class period of the day was pure joy. I was first introduced to Joseph by my writer friend and colleague Deborah Baron. Soon after, I was privileged to be working with Joseph on his manuscript for "The True and Unvarnished Testimony of Lola Many Birds", an exquisite piece of writing. I take a small measure of comfort in thinking of Deborah and Joseph together again ...two smart, funny souls who keenly observed the world around them.

Praying for Joe and Brenda and the family. May God bless you with the fondest memories of your son and fill your hearts with comfort and love.

Joe was a good friend during our high school days in Jacksonville. Despite a number of differences in opinion, we managed to keep touch for a few years. Regrettably, we didnt keep up contact, and lost sight of one another for many years. Recently, Joe caught up with me by e-mail again though, and I was reminded that he played a role in some of the best memories I have of our school days. I will miss him. My sincerest condolences to Joe Jr., Brenda and Lesley Sharp for their loss. Karsten Tedin
