Not sure what to say?

Our sincere condolences to Sheila, Mike and Matt on the loss of their Father. Jeanette and I shared a lot of "good times" with Joe and Maureen. The women were always plotting something good for Joe and I. We never were smart enough to figure out the plots prior to their happenings. For me, personally, Joe was a "top shelf" friend who was a confident, a resource for problem discussion, a mentor as well as a solid man.

Deepest Sympathy good man good boss God Speed. Worked for Joe in the 80's Organized Crime

What a good man, and what a respected and admired Chicago policeman he was. May Joe know God's peace now and forever. All I can offer your family is a remembrance in my prayers tonight as you try to get used to a world without this good man.

Our deepest sympathy to the Shaughnessy family. Joe was a great friend and vital leader with the Chicago Police Department. He was a wonderful inspiration to many including me. He is with his beloved Maureen in eternal peace and happiness.

Worked with Joe in security (Special Service) at Marshall Fields part time during the holiday periods back in the 60's when he was with the Area One Task Force. Could not have worked wth a better person than Joe. God bless.
