Joseph Thomas Shellman Sr.

Joseph Thomas Shellman Sr., 67, of Madison, went home to be with his beloved wife, Carol, of 43 years, Tuesday, September 16, 2008.

Born November 3, 1940, in Washington D.C., and was the son of the late Howard Thomas Shellman and Mary McCoy Shellman.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Terry Lee; and a son, Ronald W. Shellman.

He is survived by two sons, Joseph T. Shellman Jr., and Duane A. Shellman; a daughter, Cheryl Kim and her husband, Jimmy; three grandchildren, James Davis, Christopher Davis and Cynthia Davis; one great-grand-child, Kadelynn; one brother, Andy Shellman; one sister, Judi Cantwell; six sisters-in-law; and three brothers-in-law; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, September 22, 2008, at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel, Madison, conducted by the Reverend Keith Powers, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be held 1 p.m. Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas.

The family would like to thank the staff of Orange Dialysis Center for their loving care and devotion over the past five years as well as his home caregiver, Becky.
