This entry is so delayed because I lost touch with Joe after I moved away. This sounds strange, but I had a dream last night that Joe called me to catch up. It was very vivid. In 'real life' Joe had told me when he first discovered his cancer, and I regret to say I did a poor job of keeping up with him. So, I did not know his battle had ended. The dream prompted me to check the obituaries.

I consider Joe a close friend, a kindred spirit, although I knew him for only a short time,...

John will miss JoJo's phone calls; he admired his little brother's adult feats in the military, stock market, flying his own plane, building the palatial house on the HILL, and other things only brothers know between themselves. Our children were always in awe of their Uncle JoJo.

To Cathy and the children, Barbara, John and Peter:
I know watching your husband, father and brother suffer was not easy, but I encourage you all to dwell on God's goodness in his love for us through Jesus and not the dreadfulness of the sickness that came into this world through Sin. Courage, strength and love, Cousin Cindi and family

JoJo was an inspiration to me from an early age. While I grew up in a strict, legalistic,"Religious" invironment,I always felt relief when visiting with JoJo,Pete,&Johnny.JoJo had deep knowledge of the blues and other "race"music of the day...and where it came from.although I did not get to enjoy his company in latter years, I will always remember rolling in the floor, laughing till we cried listening to Howling wolf and Bobby Blue Bland...at 11 & 12 yrs. old. Rest in peace till we can join you.
