Joseph James Sidlo

CRYSTAL LAKE – Joseph James Sidlo, 83, of Crystal Lake, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013.
He was born Jan. 14, 1930, in Chicago to Clarence and Ruth Sidlo.
Joseph was proud of his service to our country as a Naval veteran of the Korean War.
In recent years, the highlight of his week was frequent visits from his great-granddaughters as they loved to ride the stair lift while sitting on his lap.
Joe is survived by his wife of 56 years, Audrey; children, Janet (Douglas) McAllister and Dave (Sandi) Sidlo; grandchildren, Bradley (Sylver) McAllister, Jennifer (Jonathan) Cathey, Scott Sidlo and Samantha Sidlo; great-grandchildren, Avery and Britin McAllister and Adelyn and Lily Kate Cathey; brothers, Clarence (Jean) Sidlo and Paul (Peggy) Sidlo; sister-in-law, Darlene (Kenneth) George; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northwest Christian Community Church, 28566 N. Lemon Road, Mundelein, IL 60060.
The memorial visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the 4 p.m. service Saturday, March 16, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.
