Joe was one of the finest people I've had to the pleasure to know. He could be tough as nails, but those of us lucky to know him knew he had a heart of gold that overflowed with love and compassion for anyone who needed it. He set an example of hard work, respect, honor, and celebration of the good things in life. I see that clearly in the fine son he raised, whom I am certain will be the same kind of father.
