I started teaching at Ruskin in 1986. Lydia quickly welcomed me into the Ruskin family. She encouraged me whenever I wasn't doing too well my first year. Lydia was a great teacher and a caring person.

I worked with Lydia at Ruskin for several years until she retired. I was the PE teacher there, and know that she was loved by everyone. We missed her when she left Ruskin, and I know she will be missed by all. She was very dedicated, and always did so much for her kids.

I am very sorry to hear about Mrs. Maley. She was a lovely lady. I had the honor to work with her at Ruskin School. I started there in 1986 and she always had a smile on her face!!! She was a beautiful person!
