Not sure what to say?

I'm sorry to the family. I'm sure he was a wonderful man. Death is never easy. I met him when I found out my daughter and I were both in distress and need to be induced. After 17 hours I was only 2 cm. I asked for a c section he laughed at me. My water was already broke and I knew you aren't supposed to go passed 24 hours with your waters gone. At hour 24 I asked him again and he said no. I did not progress at all. An hour later my daughters heart rate dropped and it became an emergency....

The years are passing by so rapidly. Joe and I didn't always agree on the politics of healthcare, but we both shared a continuing search for the best possible outcomes for all of our patients. Many memories...

On the anniversary of Dr. Skutches passing, I just wanted to share my heartfelt appreciation for having him deliver both of my daughters. When having my first and being told 24 hours in that I would need a c-section I was scared. He talked to me and reassured me that everything would be okay. I can't begin to tell you how much I loved that guy and his sense of humor. He was a great doctor and gentleman.

My best wishes on this anniversary of Joe's passing to his family and close associates. Many memories from the 70s 80s and 90s. Dr. Bob Echenberg

MaryAnn,
I was so very saddened to hear of your husband's passing. I so enjoyed his visits every Christmas at the boutique. He was the consummate gentleman and because he was an obstetrician-gynecologist we often reminisced about my dad, also an OB-GYN who he knew well. He was was admired by his peers and loved by all. Hugs and prayers heading your way from our family.
