Read MoreI will always remember the first time we met. I was applying for position at the Cath lab at Denver Presbyterian. It was more about how I was going to get along with the team. He said to me, "I know you can do the job, I just want you to fit in". It was a great place to work and he made it that way. Always made us feel like we worked with him, not for him. There will always be a special place in our lives for "Uncle Joe".

I worked for your dad at Denver Presbyterian in the late seventies, he was a great man. I was part of his lab staff and when he hired me, he told me " I know you know the job, I'm more concerned about you fitting in". I did and it was a pleasure to work for him.
