8/27/1977. Joe was given the challenge of a new recruit at Firestone during a warehouse move to Shelby Ohio. I was not exactly the selection of his choice but more a result of not-so-gently nudging from his boss, Max and also my father. As a young batchelor at the time I'd trade Joe car repair work for Mary's cooking when we weren't on the job. Well, the mentoring must have taken hold as almost 38 years later I'm still at Firestone. Thank you Joe.
