Not sure what to say?

There are only a few people who have such a positive impact on young students; Joe sopko was one.
He was well loved by his students and he inspired many to go on and do well. His notehand class certainly helped me in my college classes. It was a great skill to use for those long college lectures. Most of all, Mr. Sopko's positive attitude brought some joy to the Hershey High School Experience.
He was unique. Let Perpetual Light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

Mr. Sopko was one of the people who
made a profound impact upon my life
for all time. It was during my Senior Year in 1956 that Mr. Sopko
said to me, as I was one of only 3
boys in his Secretarial Course, that I should attend an orientation
meeting for Hershey Junior College.
I went and the rest is History, as
I went on to receive my College Degree and become a Business Education Teacher at Central Dauphin High School for 33 years.
I was the first in my family...

your father was a wonderful inspiration to me...always made me feel as if i could do anything i put my mind to. he was my teacher both homeroom and typing and a wonderful example of who we should strive to be. rest well mr supko debbie bass class of 68

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Sopko was one of my teachers years ago, he was a great teacher and he cared about his students. I hope you take comfort in the caring and love of yours friends & family.

Not only was Joe Sopko one handsome business education teacher, but an excellent one who also added humor to our class which made learning so easy. Our Hershey High School class of 1954 was the best. My deepest sympathy to family members.

I have a lot of fond memories of my years of teaching with your Dad. God Bless you and your families.

My sincere sympathy on the death of your Father and friend. Mr. Sopko was my Typing Teacher for three years. We Commercial girls all loved him. He was a wonderful teacher. God Bless.
