Joseph Spallone, Jr., 61, of East Stroudsburg, PA passed away Tuesday, July 20th, at his residence.


Joseph was born in Newark, NJ on September 26, 1959, a son of Gaetana "Nelly" (Pratile) Spallone, of Nevada and the late Joseph Spallone, Sr.


He was the husband of Rochelle Spallone. They were high school sweethearts and celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary. Joseph was the former owner and operator of Sun Masters Tanning Salons in New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division.


In addition to his wife Rochelle and mother Nelly, Joseph is survived by two sons Michael Spallone, and spouse Joe, and Ricky Piontek, husband of Becky, seven daughters, Michele Gamba, wife of Rich, Christina Piontek, wife of Paul, Lori Ortiz, wife of Omar, Natalie Piontek, Jodie Otto, wife of Jason, Stefanie Litchman, wife of Dave, and Patty Piontek, an infant son Patrick, a sister, Maria Guanci, wife of Lorenzo, and 20 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Katie Walsh and a sister Joanne Kulick.


A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Spallone family in care of the funeral home 4 Lillian Lane Bangor, PA 18013, to help care for his infant son Patrick.

Please accept my sincere condolences. I knew Joe in the mid 70's, at Bloomfield High School. (We dated for a short time...) I'll always remember his great sense of humor and passion for music. He also had great integrity and was so handsome! RIP Joe Spallone, you were an original.
