Not sure what to say?

Sorry to hear Joey´s passing. I missed all the fun and laughter we used to share while living in Sarasota. I enjoyed your concert in New York and your performance in Las Vegas show. Thank you for the beautiful memories and beautiful friendship we share. May your transition to the other side be more fun and enjoyable than you had in this plane of existence. I really missed you especially when it´s our bday celebration together. Sympathy and condolence to your family.

A friend just informed me of Saw Joe Spinella´s death. A lovely man, he had the voice of a great tenor. I heard Joe perform at a popular venue in Sarasota - an evening of Neapolitan canzone. He came to my table to greet me. We were colleagues. I´m very sorry for his passing. Sweet condolences to his family. Sincerely, Jeanette LaVoy, Soprano

Thank you Denise for sharing your story and thoughtful message. It's hard to believe it's been nearly three years already.

Dear Family, I was connected with Joe many years ago by a mutual friend to take vocal lessons. Unfortunately it took a little longer then 5 minutes as he professed. :) I became a friend but lost touch after my lessons stopped. I do have a copy of his CD that he gifted to me and strangely I just looked at the case over this weekend June 25, 2023. I have thought of him often and tried to find him on social media. Today I googled his name and sadly came upon his obituary. I am so very sorry...

The family would like to thank those who've left remembrances of Joey. It gives us solace to see how he touched so many in such positive ways.

Joey was my daughter’s voice coach and he left a beautiful and memorable imprint on my daughter. Joey was not only very talented as a singer but also had a fun, professional and graceful way about him when teaching. My daughter, as well as the rest of our family, miss Joey and will keep fond memories of him. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Joey, we will never forget you.

A beautiful and inspirational soul has been asked (much too early) to serve in a different and special capacity.

As youngsters, you were a burst of energy and life, inspiring us to accompany you in appreciating the wonders of our world. As you matured into an adult, your love of humanity continued to weave a special fabric uniting us through your talents of percussion, magic, and beautiful voice. Thank you, Joey, for making our world a better, happier place.

You now...

Such a sweet, sweet person. I remember him so fondly from Riverview High School and the Kiltie Band in Sarasota. How wonderful to know he went on to a career in music and so sad he was taken so soon. Rest in peace.
