Not sure what to say?

Sharon,
I extend my deepest sympathies and condolences to you in this time of grief and loss. So many people at FBC of Peoria have been praying for you and Joe.

I want you to know that I have heard marvelous stories about Joe and his ministry at FBC. He is fondly remembered and his life has made a lasting impact on the people of FBC.

Our prayers are with you.

Tom

Sharon and family,
Joe was a great friend and good pastor. He gave me help when I was Christian Education Chair. Did wonderful Bible Classes. There when my first husband died. So glad you are now at peace and not suffering.

my elder bro...same birth date as mine...Jan 31...I always felt there was a special connection that went unsaid. In my
younger years of trouble Joe and Sharon both looked after me when I needed guiedence...and God knows I needed it...He never raised his voice, nor did he ever belitte me.
He bought
me one of my first albums "Cat Stevens" which to this day I still appreciate the music, and will always remember the days of my youth, when Joe and Sharon did their best to steer me in...

Joe was my first cousin and best friend while we were kids. Over the past months I've had tons of of vignettes of our adventures coming up.... from buying pound after pound of pyro chemicals at Pierki's store, playing on the old mine walls and meeting at the Big Rock, walking from Prep to his dad's work for a ride home (without hats in -10 degree weather), et al. I never drive past the old Sears store in Scranton without thinking about us waiting after school with his dad a LOOOONG time to...

I am saddened of the news about Joe, my colleague in ministry while in Woodbury. Joe was a great advocate of the Gospel and a sensitive pastor. His courage and faith during his ordeal with cancer was exemplary. Well done good and faithful servant!

Marion my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family

I will always remember the joy of working with Joe. I was church secretary when Joe and Sharon moved to Peoria. He made being a Christian fun as well as being serious. Joe, you went through so very much. Now you are in no pain and at peace. "Peace in the Valley" someday is what we all desire and you are there.

Dear Sharon & Family. Carolyn & I are saddened at Pastor Joe's passing. But we know he is with his Lord & Savior whom he served long and faithfully for more than 30 years. We will keep you all in our prayers. Marilyn & Carolyn Thomas

"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I wll give you rest." Rest in peace Joe. Your friends in Peoria are recalling fond memories of your ministry here. I was Director of Friendship House at the time of your ministry in Peoria. Now in retirment with FBC of Peoria.
