Joseph “Joe” L. Stutzman, age 80, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017, at 9:10 a.m., at the Owen Stutzman residence (Bremen) after a short illness. He was born on March 13, 1937 in Nappanee to Levi D. and Emma C. (Hochstetler) Stutzman. Joe was a truck driver and a lifetime area resident of Nappanee. He is survived by his sisters, Lydia Mae (Milo) Hochstetler, Nappanee, Annie Stutzman, Michigan, Fannie (Eldon) Yoder, Kentucky, and Sylvia (Victor) Kohler, Nappanee. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers Harvey, William, Eli, Alvin, and Roman Stutzman, and 3 sisters, Barbara Helmuth, Lizzie Troyer, and Mary Yoder. Friends and family may call on Monday, January 1, 2018 from 12 – 2 pm at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, until the 2 pm funeral service, also at the funeral home. Bishop John Miller, of Sandy Ridge Mennonite Church will officiate. Burial will follow at South Union Cemetery.
