Joseph Dennis Thompson

Joseph Dennis Thompson passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015, at the age of 79. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of All Saints in Ville Platte on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. There will be visitation at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Dennis is survived by his wife Katherine Quirk Thompson of Ville Platte; four daughters, Deborah Sanders and husband Byron of Glenmora, Patricia Soileau and husband Mitchell of Ville Platte, Paula Blanchard and husband Kenny of Baton Rouge, and Elizabeth Scallan of Baton Rouge; three stepdaughters, Angie Fruge of Eunice, Karen Soileau and husband Dr. Kirk Soileau of Ville Platte, Suzy LaHaye and husband Kenneth of Vidrine; two stepsons, Timothy Walker of Ville Platte and Kevin Walker and wife Jolay of Ville Platte; nineteen grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Voorhies Thompson and Lenia Shuff Thompson and one grandson, Daniel Lanclos. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or charity of choice. Quirk & Son Funeral Home
