Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry for your loss...I empathize with you. Prayers for you all.

Those of us that swim at the YMCA every day between 12n-3pm, know Joe for his smile, wave, hello, and/or conversation. He is such a kind soul. I miss him swimming laps next to me, but know that one day I will get to be in the pool with him again. Blessings to all the family. Suzanne Bonlie Brauer.

So sorry to hear about Joe. I will always remember him as a coach and friend.

Condolances to joes family.YMCA noon ball talking husky football golf team!! Good man sports nut

Joe and I were in Leadership Skagit Class of 2012. We worked together on building a community closet for Allen Elementary School. He was such a kind, funny person with a servant's heart. He will be missed. Much love to his family.

Joe and Kathy have been remarkable fun friends! Joe was always willing to help our family in sports, church, projects around my house and his house. I loved watching him watch his sons play ball. A few years ago, I was able to sit with him and watch his grandsons play baseball. He was so proud of them! I saw him in happy moments of his life and tearful moments in his life. He always kept his head up high and made good out of his experiences. Kathy, you were with me when Rena died. I wish I...

Thinking of the Thurmond family. I enjoyed our summers with Joe and the support for his players extended well beyond a season together. He was a positive influence and a great supporter for his guys. I always loved getting his messages of encouragement and his ability to make you feel big time was second to none.

Our sorrow for the passing of Coach Joe to the family. My son Bucky, and I spent many days on a baseball field with Joe, and Adam and the Thurmond family. God Bless, Rest in peace Joe. HE WAS A GOOD OL BOY.
