Not sure what to say?

I was shocked to read of Joe's passing in Rod Cardwell's obituary. I was out of town when Joe died and his obituary was printed. I am so sorry I didn't know and missed the gathering in his honor on Aug 3, 2014. Since I am retired as a PIO for the State Senate - where I am sure his passing was discussed with respect, I just never got the word. I enjoyed working with Joe, even though we were sorta on opposite sides of the news. But not really, I never played games and he knew it. What I told...

Carla, I only met you briefly, but I know how much Joe loved you and life. Take care of yourself.

Evonne

Carla,
Watching both of you laugh during those card playing nights was a joy and my heart goes out to you and the rest of the family.
Yassie is absolutely heart broken to hear of Joe's passing and we both send our love.
I remember Joes face when he first saw Julie Girl and Gizmo....after Velcro passed. love you.

One of those people you just don't forget... Carla, my thoughts are with you, xo
Angie

Carla,
My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you. Joe was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed.
Toni Hingleton

Joe was a great guy to work with. He held your feet to the fire but showed mutual respect when earned. We had a adversarial relationship at work, as it should have been, but I found his integrity above reproach. Love to his family he was an inspiration to live up to. Curt Benson, retired Pierce County Sheriff's Department PIO

RJ...missing you.

I grieve the loss for our community and Joe's family. But, talk about 'a life well-lived' ... what a guy!

Words cannot express my sorrow upon hearing this news. My condolences to Joe's extended family.
