Read MoreJoseph Ustick was my friend and teacher. He was known as Brother Giles at Sacred Heart High School. He was my advisor and taught geometry. After my graduation we remained friends. He let me drive his Mercedes convertible. I miss him.

You showed me love and respect when it was in short supply in 1975/76.
I was lost and alone and you witnessed my pain. You gave me work to pay my bills. You opened your home, when there was no other place to go. We marveled, together, at the beauty and wonder of the Monterey Peninsula and at the Majesty of Life, itself. With you, I was in very good company. Rest In Peace, my friend. Rodney Starnes

Joe was one of my instructors at Monterey College in the early 70s. We became friends, had a lot of great intellectual discussions while bar hoping and kicking around Carmel.
