Dear Vallejo Family,
We are sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I was glad to meet some of you when you came to town (Atchison, KS) recently. My grandma, Helen Lopez (Joe's cousin), sends her regards.

Please accept my sincere sympathy on the loss of Uncle Joe. I pray that time will heal the pain you feel and that that the Lord will hold him close. I know that my father has met him and is giving him a guided tour of heaven.

Joe was always there to answer my questions when we worked at the Rock Island together. He never considered a question stupid and he was always upbeat in nature, even when he was teased about something. I will always have a fondness in my heart when I think of him and his brother Louie. I believe God reserves a special place for special people and he was special. Rest in peace my friend, and put in a good word for me when you get to heaven's gates.
