We actually had dinner at RCC on August 29th and saw some old friends who told us Joe was so ill. We are so sorry to learn of his passing. Our golf, card games, trips together, and just friendship is something we will both treasure. May you find healing with your faith and family close to you. Our deepest sympathies, Kit.

Joe was one of the greatest servant leaders I ever knew. He served on countless finance committees, did every parish committee and was always there as a good and honest man. We have lost a great man - but the churches, schools and families he helped will live on forever.

Fred Dahnke called to tell me about Joe. I am very sorry to get this sad news, and I send my sympathy and prayers to you all. I am so happy and grateful that Joe attended his 50th class reunion at MSOE last summer - we really enjoyed having him back on campus and seeing the joy he took in meeting up with old buddies.
