Dear Vecellio family, My deepest condolences to you all. I knew Coach Vecellio during my high school days at Otto-Eldred. I played basketball for him my junior and senior years there (1993-1995), and I want to tell you of the laughter, fun, difficult, and lasting memories I have of Coach V! It was an honor to play for him. He will truly be missed by so many. The Lord bless you and keep you, May His face shine upon you and be gracious to you, The Lord turn His face toward you And give you peace

Condolences to the family. Over the years, I often thought of him. I was a student of his at BCCHS in the early 1970's. He was the BEST Social Studies Civics teacher ever! Will always remember the phrase "split a sheet" which meant Pop Quiz time. When I went to college and took a government class, I didn't need to open the book as I learned it all from Mr. Vecellio in 9th grade. I consider myself very lucky to have had a teacher like him.
