Not sure what to say?

Remembering my dad again and reading the loving posts on this website I realized his eulogy should be posted here as well.

EULOGY FOR JOSEPH M. VENEGAS
June 9, 2015

For those of you who may not know me, I am Steve Venegas, youngest of eight children raised by Joe and Alice Venegas. When I was given the honor of eulogizing my father I wondered how to best remember such a great man. So like most people these days I took that crucial first step: I Googled the word...

Remembering my Uncle today 5 year Anniversary

"There is no simplicity to describing my grandfather. You cannot label him with words because they don't do justice. He thrived during depressions, displayed heroism in a world war, and devoted his life to his family. The trials of life he overcame alone are beyond comprehension. Pictures can't show his addicting personality and home videos won't show the compassionate warmth behind every hug or how he can light up a room. He has been a hero to us and incredible human being all his life. His...

Rest in peace, dad. We'll never forget you and will always try to live as you showed us. Give mom a kiss for us.

Joe was a kind, generous and loving man. I have many wonderful memories of him, and I will always be grateful for the way he embraced my family as if we were part of his. He will live on in the memory of the many lives he touched.
His family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers.

I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER JOE FOR HIS GRACIOUSNESS TO ME AND MY FAMILY WHEN WE VISITED CA. I WILL THINK OF AND PRAY FOR HIM EVERY TIME I USE THE BEAUTIFUL ROSARY HE SENT FROM ITALY--JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF HIS THOUGHTFULNESS. HE WAS A SPECIAL MAN-YOU WERE LUCKY TO HAVE HIM FOR SO MANY YEARS! HE WILL BE MISSED.

MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

Our dear sweet Joe. He was a kind and gentle man, a friend and the best customer a Banker could ever have. Knowing him for these past 30 years has been a true blessing in my life. Hugs and Blessings to all his Family. He is now home with our Lord and Savior - and the love of his life; his dear wife Alice.

Sorry to hear about Joe's passing.
He lived a long and wonderful life. Always kind and generous and a pleasure to be around

So sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was a wonderful, thoughtful patriarch of a loving family and will be missed by everyone that knew him.
