Not sure what to say?

My deepest condolences to Joe's family from myself and JAHA family - I had the pleasure to work w him at JAHA - He left a great legacy and the journal keeps getting stronger and having higher impact -

My deepest condolences. Joe was my lab partner at Columbia University glio research. I never met such an easy going genius, no pretense, just an incredible human being. God bless you Joe Vita. I hope you and Tom, your other lab partner are having a good laugh.

My deepest condolences for the loss of one of my favorite cousins. I will never forget Joe for the kindness he showed to my mother (His Great Aunt) in her hour of need and to that of my daughter just a little over a year prior to his passing! Joe was a true reflection of the greatness of his parents! My family will always remember Joe Vita! The translation of his last name reflects his being - Vita = Life

Dear Gina, Olivia and Sam, Please accept my deepest sympathies on your loss. I was lucky to work with Joe for 8 years. He was a brilliant and kind man, who helped so many young people attain their dreams and goals professionally. I was one of them, and will be forever grateful for that chance.

Dear Family, Friends, Students, and Colleagues of Joe Vita. I was terribly saddened to learn of Joe's passing today, from a colleague of mine at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions today. I remember Joe as a fellow resident in Internal Medicine at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, in New York City. He was an outstanding human being and the benchmark for what we would aspire to, as physicians in training. I have no doubt that the students and fellows he trained, will...

Not sure how to accept this terrible loss of Joe..Very, very difficult for me..
I was his 'right hand man' for nearly 20 years..so sorry for his wonderful family..
Gina was tremendously courageous, a rock, Joe was loved and taken care of beautifully throughout this difficult illness. I admire Gina very much..

Dear Gina, Olivia and Sam.
I read of your loss in the Ledger and was saddened, deeply saddened for your sake. Your Dad and Mom took such an avid interest in all that you did in the Drama classes at the Conservatory. His joy showed on his face when he looked at his children. My prayers are with you all. Ellen Kelly

Dear Vita Family: the faculty of the Department of Science and Engineering, SLU Madrid, would like to extend our sincere condolences. Joes brother Paul is a hugely admired and respected colleague of ours here in SLU Madrid. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.

Joe and Gina have been marvelous parents, thoughtful members of the Hingham community, and wonderfully lively, warm people. Joe will be missed by all who knew him. I am so sorry that this marvelous family is facing a real tragedy.
