Not sure what to say?

Joe was always thoughtful and friendly to our family. He played with our very young Carolyn and Diane, and they really enjoyed him. We visited at his and Sylvia's homes after we moved to Raleigh, and they were so generous and loving to us. Talked by phone to each of them near the end. Miss them both each day, and grateful that they are happy together now. Love you Syl and Joe! Pat and Bob Young

I had pleasure of meeting Joe a few years ago. He was absolutely amazing, energetic and very loving. He told stories and there was no doubt he loved his wife Sylvia, his daughter Mary, his son Paul and his beautiful cat Snowball. His time on earth was too short but he is now with Sylvia and in a better place.

My Uncle Joe was always so, so good to me. I haven't seen him in many years, however he was a strong force in my early years, and I shall miss him. I pray the family finds peace among the grief. Much love and prayers to Mary and family. God Speed.

You were a caring, loving grandfather. You always listened intently with many conversations about animals. As you were an animal lover as much as I. You made me feel smart, as you really valued my opinion. I will always cherish the holidays that we spent all together as truly a happy family. Memories of you finding me as I would hide when you would first get the house. Memories of you and Grandma Sylvia taking us to the park. Just the silliness of goofing around. Not to mention the laughter....

I will always remember the fun times at family parties and the great political debates! Thank you for always bringing laughter to everyone's life. I hope you are racing a sports car somewhere in heaven! Love you Grandpa Joe.

I adored my Grandpa Joe. The only grandfather I ever had. He was larger than life. I find solace knowing he is with his beloved Sylvia, my Dad and his niece Nicole. Cheers guys! Arm and a leg and a puppy dog stand all the way! Hope you guys are dancing.
