We send our deepest sympathies to the Wagner family for the passing of Joe. I had the honor of knowing Joe and his family through our many interfaces between Caterpillar and Wagner Equipment. Joe epitomized the most successful of profiles for our Caterpillar Dealer Principals. The way he lived his life, both professionally and personally, will long be held as an aspiration to us all.

I had the great fortune to know and work with Joe and his family for almost 30 years, during which time he was a constant example and role model to countless young aspiring people on visionary, values based leadership. Joe leaves a lasting...

Joe Wagner was in my tenure the "Dean" of Caterpillar's Dealer Principals: Highly respected by Caterpillar executives and his fellow Dealer Principals. He was a unique blend of a focused business executive who was blessed with a warmth that allowed him to work effectively with demanding customers, employees at all levels, other Caterpillar Dealers, and with the parent Company. To know Joe was to like him, and if you had the opportunity to work with him, you were sure to enjoy a smile along...
