Not sure what to say?

Thank you Ed Christie for posting your love and thank you so much for the stories. I read them all the time. Miss you Dad.

It's been six years, Joe, but the memories of our youth are fresh as if it was yesterday. Every Saturday we rode our bikes together. It was 7 miles from my home to your's and then on to Beardsley Park. Standing rule was "Be home before dark". Some Saturdays it took a real effort to comply. I think of you often, Joe. You were one of the good guys.

Joe, Richard and I were altar boys. They could have made a movie regarding the mischief we got into. We served at weddings for the tips the grooms gave. We competed to lead processions in church. I played guitar and the three of us would sing in Richard's basement until the neighbors complained. (We were terrible) The three of us were always getting into trouble by playing pin ball machines on Barnum Ave.
The nuns at St. Johns did their best to keep us in separate corners of the class...

We miss my Dad SO MUCH! He was an absolutely wonderful man. If anyone has any more stories they would like to share, please do so. My brothers and I are very interested in hearing more. Thanks, and Bless you all!
Love, Derek

Thank you all for the kind words spoken about my father, Joseph Walley(Joey). It is very touching to hear all the stories about my dad and look forward to hearing more.

To all the Family of Joey Walley --------
Just heard about Joey's death from his and my Aunt Helen Walley Christie in Monroe, Connecticut.
So, so sorry to hear this.
In reference to Eddy Christie's message, I am the other cousin of the three, and we did have some good times growing up together.
So happy to always have all these good memories of our families.
Blessings and prayers to all of you.

im so very sorry to his wife and children im his uncle steve walley god bless you all.

So many stories I could tell of our youth at St John's school. We drove the nuns crazy for 7 years. Had a paddle or two broken on us too. In a Kindergarten class play Joe played the part of a priest. (really!)
Early teens, most weekends, Joe and I would ride our bikes to Beardsley Park in Bridgeport. Joe, me and Ritchie, as cousins were inseperable. At 17 I enlisted in the Air Force and Ritchie did too. Day before I left for Viet Nam we played a round of golf. On the way home Joe and I...

He was the class clown in high school, but also very smart and I knew he would be successful RIP old Friend.
