I knew Joe since kindergarten through high school. When he went to Charlotte, NC I bussed down to drive his car back to Iowa. Visited him in Tacoma when he was in the Air Force. Shortly after that lost contact when I went into the Marine Corps for several years. Bad news. Goodbye my friend.

He sounds like the perfect son of rural living and love of family. What a life well lived. We are sorry for your loss and wish you our condolences.

I haven't seen my cousin Joe for years but have such fond memories of times we spent together. He was always so patient and steady in his ways and made you feel like you were the most important person whenever he saw you. He was truly the salt of the earth and will be remembered always.

We lost an amazing man. I will always think of Joe when I see an antique tractor working its way down the road, especially if it´s a Ford. I will miss making lasagna for him- he acted like I was a Michelin starred chef whenever I did. I will see the legacy of his love for Gabriel, Rhonda, Ollie, Todd, Paula and so many others in how they now carry his lessons forward - find peace in the quiet, do things right the first time, appreciate what you have. Very sorry to hear about Joe´s passing. He always seemed to be one of the few men who truly exhibit that quiet strength that is rare these days. I haven´t seen Joe in years but will remember him fondly.
