Not sure what to say?

Dr. Warren was very influencal in my life as we worked 2gether for several years at Brandeis U & after we both moved on to other careers. When ever I visit my parents at Newton Cemetery, I do my best 2 visit 'Joe' as well. I miss his booming personality & generosity of kindness & support. May He rest in God's gracies!!! JCP

JOE WARREN WAS MY TRAINER AND INSPIRATION AS A VISTA VOLUNTEER IN NEW YORK CITY. IN A SHORT FEW WEEKS HE PATIENTLY GAVE SOME VERY GREEN YOUNG PEOPLE LIFE LESSONS THAT COLORED MY ATTITUDES FROM THAT POINT ON. THIS WORLD WAS A BETTER PLACE FOR JOE WARREN HAVING LIVED IN IT. MY BELATED CONDOLENCES.

I've just learn of Dr. Warren's death so my apologies for a late comment. In, I believe, the summer of 1968, I was among a group of VISTA Volunteers assigned to the Asacostia section of Washington, D.C.

After being too much of a jerk for the supervision I was originally assigned, Dr. Warren took me on and over the several months I worked with him, my appreciation for the civil rights movement and struggle was clarified. But most of all, I gained an appreciation for Joe's humanity,...

To the Warren family:
I've just heard about Joe's passing and I really believe that a gentle giant has been silenced. While I was a student at Brandeis I worked with Joe in the Upward Bound program and was deeply touched by how much Joe cared about those students. His care and kindness were boundless. Sincere condolences to the Warren family. I feel privileged to have worked with and been influenced by Joe.

Makeda Warren Keegan--Please accept my sincere condolences even though they are more than one year old. I was watching WGBH's Greater Boston - Week in Review earlier 2nite when I heard the panelist Emily Rooney commenting on Setti's run for Governor when she referred to 'the late Dr. Warren'. I have spent most of the rest of the nite trying 2 find out about Joe's death. Even though you may not remember me, I know you, Setti, Kara & your mother Elpedia. I was your dad's secretary at...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

To the Warren Family,

May you take great pride in knowing Dr. Joseph Warren, known to many of us as Joe, touched and influenced the lives of infinite young people. Joe was an inspiration to thousands of inner city Boston students, through his unwavering faith and belief in their capabilities.

From 1971 through 1973, I was one of a multitude of high school students who rode a bus every Saturday morning from the Grove Hall neighborhood in Boston to Brandeis University in...

The world has lost a light.
But see how many candles that one light has lit.
And his light goes on,
then on again to others.

Let me honor Joe's life by caring for others in need as Joe cared for Kenya and me.

May Joe's family be comforted by the light Joe has left in our world.

Peace and prayers,

Mary Kowalski and Kenya Heard

Dear Family, I just can't find the words to let you know what Dr. Warren has ment for my family and I.

Dr. Warren will always be in my heart for ALL the wonderful things, kind words and always asking me when I saw him on Saturdays or Wednesdays at Northeastern's YDIP program How are doing Ms. Suazo. I would respond running late sometimes to class I am good Dr. Warren and how are you?

He would always say good, good.
I just want you to know...
