Joe loved his Pittsburgh teams and he would remind us here in Philly of their championships. He never lost his Pittsburgh accent and he was very good-natured about us having fun with certain words he'd say. He would often rattle off a string of ridiculous Groucho Marx jokes and we'd just laugh. Joe was a great friend. Many times he would go out of his way or extend his work day to fix an electrical problem for me (and others I know, for sure). I'll miss you Joe.

Still remember back in the 80s when we lived worked and hung out together.you were a true friend to me for almost 30 years and will never forget you.rest in peace my friend and sorry i didnt have a chance to say goodbye.God called you too soon

Mrs. Weixel, Mary, Tom, Theresa, and Susan, I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I have so many memories of Joe from when we were inseparable back in our pre-teens. We did everything together in those days and I could not have asked for a better friend at that time in my life. He touched me and will forever live in my mind. My sincere condolences to all of you.
