It saddens me to learn of the passing of SGM Joseph Harold Williams. Surely, each of us remembers a mentor or soldier who played a pivotal role in our development, someone who encouraged our interest in soldiering, or influenced the direction of our spiritual and military career. This Sergeant Major of Color and man of God has been such a leader.
