Joe Wolak was one of the nicest men I ever met. He was quick with a smile, a beer, and joke. His wife Edna was, without a doubt, one of the best cooks on the face of the earth. Sitting at their table is one of the cherished memories of my life.
Joe would bend over backwards to help if asked; it just doesn't get any better than that. I could not have asked for a better father-in-law, and I, like all who knew him, am a better person for having met him.
