Not sure what to say?

I am doing family research and came upon this obit. What an impressive life. How fascinating that Joe's grandfather DR Joe wood delivered him. Dr. Wood's wife, Mary (I think that's right name) was a sister to my great grandfather, Frank Maddock. My parents still live on a ranch adjoining Maddock land on the border of Wheeler and Gilliam counties.

As a ZN knew Joe well for 60 years. I've lived in Chicago forever, but kept in touch mostly by phone. Had lunch couple of years ago. Stayed in chair too long and he couldn't get out of chair. He said only way a giant wedgy. Laughed a lot even though he was really suffering.
For those who don't know, ZN had a hard to believe group of just great men, super achievers, etc. & Joe was chapter president, a leader. I was the most hard to believe achiever. Chapter clown, poor grades = VP of a...

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Joe.
He was such a kind and caring man. He will surely be missed. God Bless you all.

Joe was always a guiding light for me...at Norris, Beggs & Simpson. He was a close friend and wonderful mentor when I started work there in 1978. He was an inspiration to us all...all the time. My very best to Peggy and the Wood famiy.

My condolences over Joe's passing. I have very fond memories of the Norris Beggs & Simpson family events held at the Woods family beach house in Gearhart, when I was much younger. Joe was such a kind soul...I had some really good conversations with him when I did an internship at NB&S while I was in university. RIP Mr.Woods.

Dear Diana and Bill,

I was sorry to learn of Joe's recent passing. One of my friends kept me informed about how things were going with Joe. I have childhood memories of Joe as your "big" brother and remember how kind he was to both of you and your friends. I know you will miss him terribly but remember all of the good times you, Dorothy and Will spent with Joe has you all grew up on NE 17th.

Our deepest condolences to the family. Joe was a class act and an inspiration to many of us in commercial real estate.

So sorry for your loss. When I worked at Norris, Biggs, & Simpson, he was so kind to me.

To me, Joe was the patriarch of NB&S. He brought flowers from his garden for the front desk every week. Being that I was the receptionist for 25+ years (total), I thoroughly enjoyed the beauty he brought in. He was always kind and supportive but darn it if every time I was doing something I probably shouldn't, he'd walk through the lobby! LOL - He will always be part of my NB&S memories and will be greatly missed - My thoughts and prayers to Peggy and the whole Wood family <3
