Not sure what to say?

We will miss Joe - from the K-wings games to the Black Swan to Apollo Beach, Florida. He was one of a kind. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of his family and many friends.

Deb DeMink & Dick Cooper

We knew Joe for the 16 years that we were with the Kalamazoo Wings Hockey Club. We talk frenquently about the dinners we had together at the Beacon Club and the way he loved boiled shrimp. We still display the memorabilia that he brought to us from Augusta every year. Joe was a very special person to our family and he will be missed but not forgotten.
We send to the family our deepest sympathy. Brenda and Terry Roof

Our prayers are with the family of a super guy and sportswriter. I remember the stories my father-in-law, Hank Topoll, would bring back from the barbershop. I remember Joe from the Kalamazoo Polish Open Golf outings and the day he was made an honorary Pole for his continued support. Rita called Donna the other nignt to tell her that Dads barber had passed away. Heaven is blessed with a kind and gentle, fun loving man.

Formerly from Kalamazoo

How did we get so old so fast?

The days at WKMI with Bud Popke, Howard Steere and Lil Breed. The early "barber shop days" at the corner of Rose and Lovell; and later on North Westnedge and Gull Road.

Even though we haven't seen each other in many years, Joe's passing evokes so many wonderful memories and brings more than just "a" tear to my eyes.

Sleep in peace, Joe; you were one of a kind and one of the VERY BEST.

Ron

From just one of Big Joe's millions of listeners, my condolences.

So sorry to hear of your loss.
