Mr. Wright was one of the best human beings we have ever known. He was our neighbor by land in Botetourt County. We spent the past 30 years enjoying seeing him walk the property with his beloved dogs. He was a lover of the arts and a wonderful supporter of the artists at the Sidewalk Art Show. We spent many years catching up with him and learning of his love for life. Our children spent many hours fishing, frog gigging and playing around the pond. Joe Wright was a childhood friend and a member of the group of children who grew up on Mud Lick Rd. and Lee Hi Rd. in Roanoke County. He married my first cousin, Pam (Miller) Wright.
