Josephine Allman Obituary

Josephine Nye Allman Josephine Nye Allman of Pittsburgh Pa., formerly of Erie, Pa. passed away on Monday, March 3, 2008. Mrs. Allman was the wife of the late Frank C. Allman; mother of Clesson D. Allman, Lt. Col USAF (Ret) an his wife Flora C. Allman of Kaiserslautern, Germany and Kaneohe, Hawaii and Dee Jane Allman of Pittsburgh, Pa.; grandmother of Clesson D. Allman, Jr. and Matthew Cole Allman; daughter of the late Prince Clair and Agnes Hutchison Nye; sister of Jane Rose and her husband Mearl Rose of Galion, Ohio and Kenneth Nye and his wife Gladys of Greenville, Pa. Mrs. Allman enjoyed a long career as an office administrator, as she first worked for Erie Bolt & Nut Company, followed with 19 years for Kelly Wood Realty, then with 11 years for West View Savings Bank, retiring in 2006. As a resident of the Town of McCandles within Pittsburgh, Mrs. Allman served as an elected judge of elections for several years. She was also a longtime faithful member of Heritage Presbyterian Church where she had served as a deacon. Friends will be received Friday from 12 Noon until time of service at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway Pittsburgh, Pa. 15237 (412-364-4444), where a funeral service will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment will be Monday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Erie County Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made in Mrs. Allman’s memory to the National Parkinson Foundation, Inc., Office of Development, 1501 NW 9th Ave. Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL. 33136-1494.
