My memories of Mrs. Chilson are warm and tender. When young I would come over to the home Julie and I would play while the adults talked. I always missed our growing up and growing away from each other. (Maree Rankins - Newport News, VA)

I will miss Mrs Chilson, We had a lot of conversations for years. Mrs. Chilson loved her daughters and grandkids dearly. I worked for Mrs Chilson as her housekeeper. So we shared quite a bit for some yrs. She was a very strong woman. Im sure God embraced her when she left this world. I miss her dearly, but I know where she is now. I can hear her laughing now. I always enjoyed it when Mrs. Chilson would join us for Christmas at the farm. She seemed to really enjoy visiting with all of us, catching up with Grandmother, watching the kids open their gifts, and seeing Allen, Julie, and Jessica again. She was nice to talk to. You had her full attention and she made you feel as if you were most important. I have missed seeing her and talking with her and will certainly miss having her join us for Christmas! I'm thankful for the times we were able to...

Jo and I had wonderful conversations while doing dishes after family holiday meals at Vera Hynson's home. I washed - she dried. My children, Jennifer and Ned, remember her as the nice lady who always included a few dollars in a little Christmas card for each of the children. I remember her chuckle at the end of a story, and thinking of her makes me smile.
