Mrs. Maxine Virginia Cotton was born on November 28, 1934 in Rocky Mount,VA, the oldest of seven children. On November 5, 2015 she joined her husband, Reed P. Cotton, Sr, parents,Ford C. Brown and Mildred V. Holland Brown, brothers Ford C. Brown, Jr. and Donald L. Brown, Sr. and nephew James "Meekey" Minor who have all redeceased her.
Left to mourn are sisters: Alma Brown, Mattie Minor, Marie Freeman and Brenda Brown all of Roanoke, brother, Joseph Richard (Brenda) Brown of Charleston,SC, stepchildren, Reed P. Cotton, Jr. Christopher L. Cotton and Lina Laverne Cotton and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held 11:00AM, Tuesday, November 10, 2015, with family visitation 30 minutes prior to the service at Serenity. The interment will follow in Williams Memorial Park.
