Josephine Elizabeth Koziol

Jo and I were high school buddies at Norte Dame HS for Girls in Chicago. We had many hours of fun together on trips and at lunch each day. We graduated and went to rival schools. Jo to de Paul and me to Loyola. When she and Roger lived in Des Plaines, jo and I visited with her three girls and my one daughter and had play dates. I missed her when they moved to Texas. I went to Nolan from 1989-1992 and remember Mrs. Koziol as one of the most (if not the most) popular teachers chosen by seniors for the robing ceremony (a special event in which a favorite teacher helps a student into his/her graduation robe). I think she was universally loved on campus, and I remember her as always happy, always laughing, and always compassionate. She was just like a mom to her students (as her nickname suggests).
