God bless the Makils. I've known about you and your family all my life as an mk from Vietnam.

Dear Family of Josephine, Carol and I are so sorry for the sudden loss of your beloved mother and grandmother and our friend and colleague. Love and prayers,
Gene and Carol Fuller, SIL-Mainland Southeast Asia Group (formerly members of the Vietnam Branch)

We came to know, love, and appreciate Jo with her trust in the Lord Jesus during a series of Bible studies. We thank God for her beautiful life and will continue praying for Carol, Jessie, and Thomas.

Dear family & friends of Jo,

I am grateful to have known Jo, a Christian woman dedicated to her Lord Jesus Christ and through Him to her family and the work of Bible translation. The world is a better place because of her and we can only pray that God will lead us to other such fine examples of His Divine handiwork and thus "finish the task" God has given us to do.

We'll always remember with fondness this grand lady who left an incredible legacy of love and service to her Lord and to all who crossed her path.

Jo was a gentle person. We enjoyed all of our conversations with her. She was an example to all of a godly woman, not concerned about herself or her own needs but concerned for others. We were glad to have her as a near neighbor and will miss her presence.

Jo was a good friend to all who new her. As a teenager and young adult, I had many occasions to visit and talk with her. She had a very sweet,
gentle, and understanding spirit. What a joy it was to know her and spend time with her.

Jo was one of those Giants in God's kingdom--her servant example has been very meaningful to me and my wife through our years of knowing about Jo, her husband and her family.
