We met Jo over 10 years ago at our church, St. Paul Lutheran in Flemington, NJ. We instantly took a liking to her as we were also from New York, and we shared our love of things from NY, such as good Italian food, bread, and the city life as well. She retained her NY accent, and after talking to her for a short time, my accent came out as well. Jo was genuinely interested in our lives, our families, and her family as well. Josephine was my Italian Momma. She loved giving advice. We often talked on the phone & she called me from the hospital. I knew then her time was near. She was a great person & will definitely be missed. She loved telling me about her grandchildren & what they were up to. She loved her boys. Also I am glad I met her brothers & she would tell me their problems. She definitely loved them also. May she rest in peace & some day we will meet again & she will give me more laughs.
