Josephine I. Miller, 87, of Northampton passed away peacefully Sunday, May 29, 2016 in Gracedale. She was the wife of the late Russell Miller who died earlier. Born May 19, 1929 in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Sophia (Buchina) Kosman. Josephine was the head cook for the Northampton Senior High School for 27 years before her retirement in 1996. She was a member of the former St. Michael the Arch Angel and the rosary society. Josephine loved bus trips, playing UNO with friends and spending time with her grandchildren. She was "grandma" to many who loved her. Josephine was predeceased by her companion, Donald Miller. Survivors: daughter, Carol, wife of Gregory Kistler of Walnutport, son, Thomas and his wife Cindy of Walnutport, 3 grandchildren, Dominic DeAngelo, Gina Porvaznik and Mathew Miller, 5 great-grandchildren, Damian, Emma, Hailey, Hayden and Harley, brother, Alfred Kosman and his wife Betty of Northampton. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 3rd at 10:00 a.m. in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 22nd and Washington Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call Thursday 6 - 8:00 p.m. and Friday 9 - 9:30 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton.
