Josephine “Josie” Pacovich, 84, of Wind Gap, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at the Zebulon Rehabilitation Center, Zebulon, NC.


She married her husband Robert Pacovich on February 8, 1958.


Together they traveled to their favorite destinations, San Diego, Cancun and the Carolinas.


She was a women of faith and very much looked forward to being reunited with her husband.


Born in East Stroudsburg, February 1, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Andick) Luzinski.


She graduated from East Stroudsburg High School.


She was a homemaker for most of her life.  She was employed for a few years as a deli clerk for the former Laneco Stores located in Wind Gap and Nazareth.


She was a member of Hope Ministries of PA Church, Bangor.


She previously served as Secretary of the Women’s Aglow.  She had been an avid swimmer and Silver Sneaker member of the Nazareth YMCA.


She was a talented floral arranger.  This hobby gave joy to many who were the recipients of her creations.


She enjoyed reading and playing board games, especially Rummikub, with her family.


She will be greatly missed by her sons, Stephen (Diane) and Victor, daughters, Christine and Angela (John); granddaughters, Crystal (Matt), Charissa (Jaren), Cassandra (Mike), Elise (Daniel), Sierra, Hannah (Andrew), Elizabeth (Paul), Maria; grandsons; Christopher (Stephanie),  Anthony and John Jr. (Annie); 16 great grandchildren, a sister Helen; along with numerous nieces and nephews as well as her beloved Kit-Kat.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband who passed away November 3, 2015; brother, Felix and two sisters, Laura and Regina.


Funeral services will be held, Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 1 PM at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl.  There will be viewing hours, beginning at 11 AM until time of services.  Interment will be in St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery, Pen Argyl.
