Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory - Ballwin Obituary

Schuler, Josephine Mary (nee Montrey), her loving family mourns her peaceful passing on, Thursday, December 19, 2013, age 97, at her home in Fenton, MO. She was the wife of the late Frank H. Schuler, Jr., daughter of the late Olivia Teson and Joseph Jacob Montrey, Jr., and the loving mother of Lynne K. Barna (Roger), Bonita Spings, FL; Frank M. Schuler (Jean), Overland Park, KS; and Rebecca J. Fink (Jeffrey), Fenton, MO. She will be missed by her eight grandchildren Brian Barna (Cindy), Washington, D.C.; Michelle Olson (Brian), Pittsburgh, PA; Nicole Barna Wyman (Dudley), London, U.K.; Joseph Schuler (Tamara), Nashville, TN; Elizabeth Harden (Jason), Olathe, KS; Michael Schuler (Jennifer), Olathe, KS; Jeffrey Fink, Fenton, MO; and Michael Fink, Norfolk Virginia Naval Base, VA; and sixteen great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Josephine was the surviving sister of six siblings: Ruth Schonde, Florence Brown, Olivia Quillman, Marcella Bohne, Patricia Yungewaelter, and Joseph Montrey. She was a talented artist who also enjoyed music and reading history. She could trace her family to the original French Canadian fur traders and farmers who settled St. Louis over 250 years ago. We will think of her often.

Not sure what to say?

Kathleen and I spent an hour on the phone remembering all the wonderful times we were all together. Aunt Jo was special, Mom's closest sister and the aunt we spent summers with. So many wonderful memories. Please know that words are not enough to express our sorrow for your lost.
Love, Kathleen and Tricia

Lynne, Don't know if I can make it the 27th. I have a house full. Your Mom, one neat lady. I remember the Polly Pig Tail Club in your attic. Precious days of long ago when people really knew their neighbors.
You are on my mind and in my heart.
Love, Becky
We will talk in 2014 . . Don't forget, it's Reunion year.
