I have such fond memories of growing up with Josie. I smile everytime I think of our friendship through grade school, high school, Girl Scouts, Cheerleading, parties in her basement and visiting the first bomb shelter in Greencastle. She always made you smile....She surely will be missed. May you find peace in your memories...what a great Guardian Angel you have....

During the past four years, Josie and Mimi often spoke about what Josie was experiencing. She always expressed a positive attitude about her illness and demonstrated genuine concern for others. She was a classy lady, had a radiant smile and was a good friend. We will miss her.

Dearest Spitz family. This is a beautiful tribute to the lovely and godly woman that your mother was! She exemplified the love of Christ, even in just meeting her for a few hours!! I'll always remember the "gourmet cook" part....those YUMMY philo pastry puffs filled with pears and chocolate served with ice cream!!!! Unforgettable! Just like your mom! Dear Ray,Susan, and Bill, I feel so so sad about Josie's passing. Sometimes I think that life is so queer. I think that it is a sad time here on earth, but a happy time in heaven.
Ray, thank you for the letter thru e-mail.Even in your time of such grief, you were able to encourage us with your trust in God.
