Dear Aunt “Dolly”,

Thank you so much for such great memories of family get togethers, swim parties during those hot 60’s and 70’s summers and for being a wise advisor during those important life events. I recall in my youth that it was a very exciting day when Mom and Dad said, “we are going to Aunt Dolly’s today” . When it was time to leave on those days, Daria and I used to put a hex on my Dad’s car so that it wouldn’t start and we could stay longer. (PS - It didn’t work ) ...

It was with real sadness that I learned this morning of the passing of my friend for 75 years, Jo D'Allegro Waldron. I send condolences to her amazing children (and grandchildren) on behalf of the Barringer High School Class of June 1947 and the Summer Avenue School Class of June 1943. I think Jo and I were first classmates at SAS in 1935 or 1936. I have a picture of our second grade class at Summer Avenue in 1938.
